Family Ninjas (ages 8-12 and family) classes at DC Self Defense Karate Association, in Washington, DC are a great way to instill integrity, courtesy and respect with children in the local DC Metro community. DC Self Defense Karate Association’s Family Ninjas Karate Program teaches children the valuable life lessons of respect, self-discipline, self-control and the ability to safely defend themselves when needed. The life skills and attributes create a personal “Victory in Martial Arts” for kids. These life skills taught by our Professional Team of instructors are truly necessary to become confident individuals in today’s society. Interaction with the world around them at an early age is a critical life skill element for any community member.
The DC Self Defense Karate Association academy serves the community with the some of the best Karate classes in Washington, DC as evidenced by our being awarded “The Best of DC” for nine years in a row now for Martial Arts and Self-Defense. Our age-appropriate Kid’s Karate programs and classes are specifically aimed at the physical development and mental capabilities of the these karate kids and are great for their moms, dads and older family members too. By measuring the results of the individual student and establishing specific goals in the context of the curriculum at DC Self Defense Karate Association, our Ninja Basics carries over to many other activities and studies in life for young students. Teaching the skill of dedication to completing an activity and meeting the goals is an important part of the program designed by our instructors.
Together with other families and kids their own age, every Ninja can grow with the self-confidence and core values that a top martial arts program develops. Kids at this level also work within our Leadership Training Program to look more deeply into leadership qualities including mental and emotional control.
